It has been a while since I have had a chance to post. It has been really busy with the holidays

I managed to get all my Christmas shopping done. Now all I have is wrapping to do. Kelli has wrapping and baking to finish but between us we will get it all done.

Christmas Eve we are planning to go to the 11pm Church Service. Christmas Day will be spent with my familly.

The NHL had a couple of interessting developments the last few weeks. Once again My Habs lost to the Hab Beaters(Carolina). This time it happened in Overtime.

The NHL finally did something right in suspending Shawn Avery. This player is a mental case and has been a disaster waiting to happen. The Dallas Stars finally decided that they did not want him back – and I do not really blame him.

The Vancover Canucks signed Mats Sundin to 5.2 million for half the year. This is interesting because Mats said he did not want to be a rent a player. Well it’s all about the money now is it not?

The Economy has claimed two big sports organizations in the last week. The Chicago Shamrocks of the NLL suspended operations and the Arena Football League has also suspended operations.

Gas has hit another low at 70.9

I will have pictures from last week’s NHL game to post. These will be posted sometime tonight when I have tme to get near my pc.

Despite the victory by the Montreal Canadiens over Detroit last night they still have some big issues to solve. The first one being is what has happened to their Power Play. It is downright lousy.  Correy Price needs to be a little more consistent as well but that will come with time.

Toronto Maple Leafs – Going after Brian Burke is a good idea. It will fix a lot of things in the long term.

Ottawa Senators – Disappointing first part of the year. They are really aweful.

Officiating – They  need to crack down on hits to the head from Behind. Their have been 3 or 4 bad ones in the last week.

Is Steve Yzerman going to Ottawa as their GM – I do not think so. He will be staying in Detroit.

Well the first day of NHL Free Agency was interesting.

The Toronto Maples Leafs brought back Cujo in a one year $700,000 deal as a backup. A good deal for the fans and a good deal for the team.

Colorado signed a couple of ex leafs in Darcy Tucker and Raycroft.

Vancover offed Mats Sundin $20 million over 2 years.

Washington lost one ex Hab Goalie in Huet and turned around and signed Jose Theodore.

This was just part of it. It was a busy day all in all.
