Wednesday’s Hockey Game

Well Wednesday this past week I took my friend Leslie to the Leafs Game. We saw an exciting finish with Mats Sundin scoring in the last 16 seconds to give the Leafs a one goal victory. All in all we had a good time. Leslie loves hockey and is always good company at the games.

Leafs Finally Do Something

The Leafs finally fired John Ferguson jr today and put Cliff Fletcher in as their interim GM. I should say I met John JR at a Leafs Season ticket holder meet and greet a few years ago. He did not impress me then and he still does not impress me now. Enough said.....

A Legend Passes Away

Yesterday a legend in Canadian Broadcasting passed away. Don Wittman passed away do to cancer. Don was the most versatile broadcasters in Canada in his time. He called everything from Curling, the Olympics, the NHL and over 30 Grey Cups. My condolences go out to Don's family.

John McHale died today. He was the first president of the Montreal Expos and was a big part of baseball in Montreal. He also was Gm until the mid 80's. I remember all he did for baseball in Montreal as a kid growing up and what he meant to the city of Montreal.
